Looking for the contact switch wire for the Boot / Trunk.

My wiring diagram says it can be found in Pillar A (so on my UK model that's the front drivers{right} hand side pillar in the footwell). It says it's the White/Yellow wire coming from the contact switch, which goes through the connector (in Pillar A) into a Brown/Blue wire going to the Audi alarm system unit.

But this doesn't seem to be the case, as I cut the Brown/Blue wire but the contact switch still worked (i.e. the boot/trunk light still went on and off). And also when I hooked it up to my new alarms negative trigger it didn't do anything either.

I've sorted all the contact switche connections for all the 4 doors, and they are working on my new alarm system, but I just need to get the boot/trunk wired in as well!

The car is a 1998.5 Audi A4q. If anyone has any ideas? or any diagrams to try? or any wires colours from their diagrams to share then let me know!
