Default date and time

ok i have search but with no luck i have reacently bought a 2001 a4 1.8TQ and im in need of instruction on how to set the date and time on the gauge info display and also how to cycle throught the different things like mpg readout and what all the different icons mean ie mph1 mph2 etc etc, in actually buying the owners manual but are yet to arrive and my gf will not quit hounding me about the date and stuff....lol

No car ride for your gf until the manual arrives, end of story.

but for cycle through the different things such as mpg/mph1/mph2 you use the little square tab on the side of the lever to the right of the steering wheel, to reset it there's a square button on the bottom of the same lever, just press and hold until it resets the readings. Not sure if the time setting is the same for 2001 and 1999 models, but for 99 models you simply pull that rod upwards right beside the clock and it shall start moving faster till the time you prefer.

pull the left **** out toward you and then u can twist it to change the date. did you not try to play with it even?

i did mess with it but wasnt sure if it would mees stuff up so better to ask then to be sorry and make a trip to the dealer ..... i guess lol but i got it all figured out thanks for the help fella..... next week im going to postme and my gf official noob here thread with pics for all to enjoy
