how are they shot? mine rattled horribly when i first got my car, and after searching around on here, i saw that some people had had the same problem, but had fixed it by pulling off the rear deck and supergluing the dust cone back together.

i pulled my deck off and tried it, and now mine sound perfect.
might wanna check that out first if that is your problem

Yeah I saw that thread a while back when my first speaker blew. I got really excited because I thought I was gonna save money but after I investigated it turned out that wasn't the case. So I just unplugged the speaker and then a couple months later the second one went. They both appear to have a tear in them around the outside.

 

That can be carefuly fixed with some epoxy.

 

just replace the speakers u will be happier in the long run..

the speakers are 6.5's and make sure you get coaxial speakers.. not components.. coaxials will work better for you there
