My daughter's B5 suddenly quit playing the FM radio, the signal is there but very very weak. My Bently manual talks about the antenna amplifier and an antenna selector. Is it possible the wrong antenna input is selected or is the amplifier bad? Are they known to fail?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Yes it is possible that the amplifier is bad or you have a problem back there with one of the lines. Take off the rear part of the headliner like the Bently suggests and do some checking first.

 

The connections look ok from what I can see. The unit does not have the separate power supply shown in the manual.
