brake lights stay on/cruise doesnt work with headlights on
My brake lights work perfetly fine when my headlights/parking lights are off.
If I switch either of them on the cruise control dies, no functionality at all and the brake lights come on and stay on.
any ideas? anybody?

the front driver corner light? damnit! that is related to this too? will be nice to solve all of this at once!
ok so i just went out and checked the brake lights. I will try to make this as clear as possible, feel free to ask for clarification if I confused you anywhere.
I have a black panel that pops out of the back of the tail light.
It looks like it has spaces for 4 bulbs.
Currently I only have 3 bulbs in each side.
the open slot on both sides would be the inner most opening.
1) should I have a bulb in there?
2) if so, clear like the other 3? dual filament or single?
On the PASSANGER side, of the 3 bulbs that are in the panel I have 2 dual filament and 1 single filament.
On the DRIVER side, of the 3 bulbs, ALL 3 are SINGLE filament.
I would say you nailed this problem down for me, thanks.
Now to get me squared away, where should I have single and where should I have dial filament bulbs?

actually the tops are the turn signals, the inner bulbs that were missing are the rear fogs. But since I never really specified that i have a '96 that could easily be different for a different year.
I had enough bulbs to reconfigure them so that everything works except the rear fog lights. i would need to buy 2 new bulbs for those.
but now the tail lights/brake lights work as they should across the board, the front marker light doesn't come on anymore when i hit the brakes with the lights off, the cruise works when the lights are on, and the right hand turn signal no longer blinks double time.
Problem solved!
thanks a lot!
