Default Brake sensor issue

I had my brakes and rotors replaced by a non Audi mechanic last year and ever since, my low brake pad indicator on my dash has been on. The brakes, of course, work fine, but i would like to fix the issue. Wondering if anyone can answer my questions:

1. Do the sensors come with new pads or do you purchase them separately?
2. Are their sensors front and rear?
3. Once the sensors are installed, are their any requirements to set them up so the cars computer recognizes them?

Any pictures or diagrams would be helpful. I have replaced my own brakes before and if fixing this issue means buying a new set of pads and switching them out, so be it.

Thanks in advance for your help!

They're embedded in the pads. Short the sensor wires in the plug and the light will go out.
