well i bought my audi a4 2.8 in november with 210k miles on it and the exhaust was smoking every time i drove it, clouds of it when i would pull away from a stop, but i had a leaky oil pan and just recently had it replaced. However it still smokes and after reading all of the posts on this thread and others, i think that a good seafoaming session is all it needs.

 

I just purchased an '01 A4 2.8, and have white smoke also, but its coming from the engine. If ur facing the car, its coming from the back right side of the engine. you can clearly see it. I've had it for a week and it just started. Also, the CEL came on too. Any help would be appreciated. If its safe to drive, i'll take it autozone to see what error codes i get. Thanks
