They have chevy suburbans though, and chevy always forgets about the interior until the last minute, it seems.

For those who want the interior monitoring activated, AND like to keep their windows down (slightly) without the alarm sounding, there is a solution! I used to have this issue ALL the time...
If you have VAG-COM, go into your Interior Monitoring control module. One of the options (I think it was either Coding or one of the Basic Functions) will enable you to alter the sensitivity of the interior sensors. Just drop the percentage, and test out your car. If you alarm still sounds, drop the percentage some more!
