Default A/C Fan Not turning at ALL

I have an 2000 Audi A4 Turbo 1.8 my A/C fan is not running. We checked the pressure of the ac lines. Recharged it didnt need it. Checked the 40 watt amp not blown relay is ok. We just replaced the radiator fan about a month ago. Checked the blend door and checked for leaks. Im trying to salvage a few dollars since were on a student income....the a/c works when the car isnt real hot as far as the weather and it goes from cold to hot air back and forth throughout the day. Is there anything I can check for free before I buy a fan??? Thanks in advance also I am a girl and doing this myself please no snyde comments if I name things wrong, Im a student not a mech!!

You're already ahead of most people, you gave the year and motor right up front!

Before you throw another fan at it, here's Bentley's procedure for checking that fan. Make sure the fuse for the thermal switch in the fuse box is good (Bentley thinks it's fuse 34, but they aren't always right. Confirm on the diagram on the fuse box cover.) Then pull the plug off the thermal switch on the lower radiator hose. Then with the ignition on, bridge the pins as shown here. That will send 12 volts to the fan at the two speeds. Oh, you don't need VW1594. All you need is a wire that will make contact between the pins they describe. If the fan doesn't run, use a tester to confirm there is 12 volts on pin #1. If there is 12 volts there and no fan to pin #2 or #3, then your problem is the fan, or the wiring from the thermal switch plug to the fan.
