Default A/C Problem.

My A/C works but when I turn the temp up (ex. 62 to 70) it has a smell of something burning. What would cause that?? Also sometimes when I sit at the drive through for awhile the A/C will just not be cold but it then kicks back on about 20 seconds later. What would cause that??

Burning smell for most is generally a leaking valve cover gasket, what doe is it smell like? The latter is probably because your coolant fan isnt kicking on, do you hear an electric fan running when you are stopped?

I hear the fan going when the A/C is running. It smells like burning rubber.
