In a recent thread about weird noise coming from my engine someone suggested it may be the cam chain tensioner. I an changing my head cover gasket soon so I figured I would take the chance to investigate the cam chain tensioner. How would I go about checking if it is working properly? I take it there will be slack in the chain but how much slack is too much? Is there any way to know?
