I've been scouring the forums, google image, youtube, etc and can't seem to find the vacuum lines. I'm in a 98 A4 B5 2.8 and there appears to have been a few changes made by the previous owner...

I can see 4 vacuum lines in the pictures you posted. They are the fraying cloth lines.

I drew on at least 6 I could see I'm sure there's more.

On the yellow one on the other side of the check canister (blue/black) is another vac line leading off of it.

This is what my 12v looked like after i replaced all the crusty old vac lines. I obviously used blue line so they should be pretty easy to pick out

EDIT: Keep in mind that your 30v is going to be slightly different, the pic was just for reference. Don't forget to replace the hard line that runs under the intake mani to the vac reservoir.

Thanks a lot, guys. I'm definitely going to be replacing these. CCA4, what kind of tubing is that and where could I find it?

Its 3.5mm silicone vac line. ECSTuning has it, but i'm sure you could find it cheaper someplace else

Hey guys, how hard is it to replace the lines? Also how expensive? I'm looking into buying a 30V V6 with fraying lines that seems to have a leak because it idles high when cold started and then settles to a rough idle after driving around a while.

Pull off and put on. Maybe $10!
