The odometer display on an 01 Avant that I am looking at is next to impossible to read. Ive heard of the dash display fading out, but never the odometer. Is there any way to check to see the mileage. The car looks pristine inside and out, no wear anywhere. Any ideas besides fine a different car? Thanks!

 

Maybe you could do something with an OBDII reader, but I'm not entirely sure if that's possible.

 

I have the same problem on my 97 2.8 Q the little lcd went black which displays odometer information.... it is driving me crazy not knowing my gas mileage. When I went to Midas to get my exhaust fixed I seen that they had wrote down how many miles were on my car on the invoice. My guess is there is a way a shop can produce it for you call'em up.
