Default Car alarm!

Let me know if there is a fix to this or if someone else has a problem like this. Every time I lock my car setting the alarm and everything if I leave my windows down then after about 10-15 mins my alarm will start going off. Im thinking it might be because of the motion sensor alarm that might be picking up the wind, if this is true how can I turn this off or somehow fix it?

It is your motion sensors. There's a button down by the driver's side pillar. Don't really remember how to turn it off, but it tells you exactly what to do in your owners manual.

with the door open press the button on the B-Pillar (the lil red light on the door will come on to let you know the sensors have been de-activated) , close the door and activate the alarm and the motion sensors should now be off...

For the record, the motion sensors will be re-activated again when you disarm and re-arm the car, so you're gonna have to push that button everytime you want to turn them off. Learned that the hard way lol

And just to complete it, seems like I read that you have to have every door open that you plan on opening (ie, you and the GF are in the car, you both need your doors open), key out of ignition completely, then hit the button, close the doors, arm the alarm. As was stated above, when you hit the button, the LED alarm indicator will illuminate for a few seconds to let you know you did it right.
