Default Car rides very rough...

What's up fellas...I drive a 99 A4 with 187,000 miles. My assumption is that my suspension is shot, you can feel every bump and it's just a fairly uncomfortable ride. Is there an inexpensive way to make the ride a bit more comfortable without purchasing a Bilstein suspension kit?

German cars have sporty suspensions. If you're looking for a car to take your grandma to the store in then an Audi is not it. If you really want things soft then you should buy some adjustable shocks and put them on/near full soft. Note that Bilstein is typically very sporty riding so I wouldn't really recommend them for you.

If it's really bad then maybe your shocks are just completely shot (probably the case if they're original) or something like that.

Tell me something I don't know. I have the sports suspension, but as I said it's original on a 99 with 187k...Feels almost unreliable while driving.

^ thanks for the audizine link...their classifieds are great.

I have the S4 suspension and it's ok but the stock oem was very "soft" and enjoyable. The 4x4 height was not so, I had to get the S4 setup. Handles 10x better and rides a tad rough. It was worth $100 I think.

While I agree that it is soft (to me), try driving something like an Accord. Or ask your Grandma what she thinks.
