i am sure it did, i am saying that a busted flex pipe is more likely that a (probably rusted, and frozen) bolt falling off,

 

My guess is the flex pipe. mine broke a while back. It sounded pretty bad a$$ at low rpms, but at higher rpms it just was making me go deaf. Cost about 50 bucks for them to put a new one in

 

where did you get the flex pipe, and is it just a slip on connection? my 1.8tqm has a significant leak around the flexpipe, and a local shop quoted me at 300 dollars to fix! I was just gonna use exhaust sealer, cause im gonna get a new exhaust later this summer anyway...
