Default Car Starts but wont Hold

Hi, I have a 1999 Audi a4 2.8 Quattro 5spd
My battery was dead for 2 nights but today when i had it jump started it would start but then RPM would drop then it would die. The only way it will stay on is if i hold down the gas pedal.
However, When it reaches about 1600 RPM it would bounce between that an 900rpm and if i let it off it would die.
Please Help me with this problem, I also tried to do an ECU reset cuz i read that on a different forum but it didnt help.
Thanks

After you hooked up the battery, did you turn the key on and let it sit without cranking for a few minutes?

It's right back at the throttle body - it has a hard connection to the throttle plate.
