Default car wont go above 4000rpm

i have an a4 1.8t tip and ever since i got the car it has never reved past at most 4200 even in tip mode. now i don't know whether this is just because it is an auto trans and it has a limiter or if something is wrong with the trans i already scanned the trans and came up w/ no codes

Take it to 5th gear then try flooring it past 4k and see what happens.

Did you scan the engine for fault codes? I believe, in tiptronic cars, there's a separate diagnostics for anything transmission-related. I could be wrong though.

What happens if you floor it in D? Are the shift points for every gear at 4200 rpms? If you hold 1st gear in tip, what happens at/after 4200 rpms? Is it upshifting automatically in tip mode before reaching redline?

Freeway onramp? Good time to test your tires out, too

Edit: I'm just kidding. I'd try it anyways on a stretch of freeway where there's usually no cops, just get up and go for it. It's not even going that fast, 4k in 5th?
