I dont know how to explain the texture of the vinyl wrap. It aint like glossy smooth if thats what you're wondering. I was only tempted to get this after i saw the GTi picture off ECStuning, and visioned piano black finish with it.

I also did not remove the trim to apply the wrap. Honestly, I would have done a MUCH better job if I had a knife that didnt cut like a spoon. There are minor imperfections, due to a dull knife, but hard to notice until you look at it closely.

I saw a video made by 3M of them instlaling it on a car's interior without removing the trim. It is very easy to apply. Dont use something hard like a creditcard to smooth it out, or you'll scratch it.

Yes, that is an AutoBot button Gives it some character.

i think the furthest to go with that stuff would be interior. i've seen pictures of a few volkswagens with their hoods wrapped in this stuff so i figured i'd ask opinions.

i really want to do something with my roof, but i have a black car...
I have brought a thread like this a while ago. I imagine of putting a white roof, since I have a black car(its actually more like charoal black/grey)

A few suggested that I go with like a lighter shade than going with a full contrast of white. Im thinking now like a matte silver finish on the roof, matte silver RS4 mirror housing, to go with my hypersilver RS4 rims. My mind's just playing with colours.

that's what i want, i thought maybe the carbon fiber might look nice, because of the very small color change, i don't want anything crazy loud, just to keep it clean.

and the CF interior looks damn good! inspiration right there

My center dash is wrapped in it as well and I love it. Jiggleo took a shot at wrapping his roof with it and it didn't look right. Keep it on the interior and you'll love it.

I ordered 4ft by 2ft from ecs to do all my trim, minus the centre console.

This is how much I have left.
