Default CD Changer

I just bought a 2000 A4 1.8 Quattro Sport. I love it !! I was wanting to add a 6 cd changer. Is the car wired to just add it on ? How much effort/skill willit take to drop on in the trunk ? I am machanically very handy. But I do not want to have to rip things out to add a control wire.

Thanks in advance!!

I dont know bout the 2000 but my 97 has a plug that you plug the changer into but it has to be the factory changer or I believe theres one after market one with the right plug

you should be wired for it - but you can't just add any old changer and expect it to work. The wiring ir proprietary and only works with specific units. Try looking on ebay for an Aufi cd changer.
