I have a 2001 a4 quattro 2.8 30v with approx 130,000. only engine mods would be intake and exhaust. i got a check engine light the other day, code: p1129 online it says: "Long Term Fuel Trim mult.,Bank2 System too Rich" after doing some research ive heard that this is sometimes caused buy oil from the filter getting on the maf sensor and cleaning it will solve the problem. is this true? if not whats the next step. keep in mind im 17 with a very shallow wallet.

 

If you have recently oiled an aftermarket cone filter, then suspect that. Regardless, it's not a bad idea to clean your maf with some electronics cleaner. If it's not that then I'd suspect something that is taking air away from the fuel - like a vacuum leak.
