I got in my 2001 A42.8 and fired her up and there was the CEL and she was vibrating. Ok, misfire. I turned it off and back on just to make sure I was not dreaming (or nightmaring) and the CEL was off and everything was fine. I cant get the code because apparently nothing is wrong. I drove it to and from work, about 60 miles, and then the Oil light came on. My oil was about a quart low. Is there any relation to the CEL and low oil? Any guesses on whats up? Any guesses on whether or not it's going to cause problems in the near future? What are my odds that the car just had a brain fart? Any advice would be great.
