Default Center vents not blowing (yes I know about climate control button)

Hey everyone. Thanks in advance for any advice. I cannot get any air to blow through my dash vents. I know that "auto" doesn't use them but even when I manually push for the center vents nothing comes out. Any ideas?

You don't say what year yours is. If it's 99.5>, then read this article. You can diagnose that flap door actuator from the screen.

http://www.audiworld.com/tech/int6.shtml

If it's bad, and it's 97>, you can get to it by taking out the glove box. If it's a 96, you're in a world of hurt. I think you have to remove the entire dash to do it. Not sure though.

Sorry, it is a 99. So I should be able to hold in recirculate button then select "1" and it will give me the error code?

I think it's gotta be a 99.5, VIN# 200,000 > I believe. It's the climate control head that only has one LCD and the heated seat controls are built into it.

Press and hold the recirculation button. Then press the manual flow control up arrow. You should see a 1c. Press the temperature up ("+") or down ("-") buttons to select a code number. Then press the recirculation button again. The value should display. Press the temperature up or down button again to display another code.

Wasn't able to use the climate control to check for a malfunction code. My model must be from the first part of 99. Spent the day fixing my "possessed sunroof," thank God that is over. I am assuming I am going to have to pull the glove box (which I have never done but how hard can it be?) and check the flap motor. How will I know if it is faulty? Sorry, I am not really familiar with heating and cooling systems and this is my first audi. Thanks again for the help.
