Central locking only passenger side

Central locking only passenger side
Just bought my A4 a couple of weeks ago, suddenly the central locking only works properly at the passenger side. The passenger side will lock and unlock all locks on the car, the drivers side will only unlock everything. It's visible that the ****(?) at the drivers side won't go in as far as it does on all the others locks.
Does anybody know what's going on?
Does anybody know what's going on?
Also I bought a cheap aftermarket keyless entry kit, where is the control box / pump located?
My car is a european Audi A4 1.6 from 1995 (don't know if that makes a difference)

I thought they were all in the trunk in the back corner but you've got an older car so maybe yours is different?

I doubt the keyless entry could have any effect - as far as I know, the pump controls all the locks, or none. Either the pump isn't strong enough to push/pull everything OR there's holes in the vacuum lines to the locks.
If I got that correct... I feel like you have a typo in your post:

Afaik, I didn't make a typo.
The passenger side door locks and unlocks all doors, including the driverside door and the trunk.
The driverside only locks itself, but unlocking it will also unlock all other doors and the trunk.
I did notice that the lock button on the inside of the driverside door doesn't go in as far as the other three. By the way I already bought the keyless kit before I had any trouble.
