Default Change Transmission Fluid?

I should hopefully be getting a 2001 A4 2.8 Quattro Automatic. It has 84k miles on it. Should I take a preventative measure and change the tranny fluid? I have heard yes and no on this. Some guy on Audi World mentioned changing it every 30k, but Im not too sure abou that. Thanks!
Chris

I drove 160K mi. without any problems with the origonal fluid.
Audi says it's lifetime.

Lots of different answers on this. I think 80k to 100k for this. Some people are fine running it forever (not my choice) but 9 times out of 10 when they finally change the fluid it looks pretty bad. I have a 102k on mine and its on my list for next couple of weeks. I have not had any issues so that is one of the reasons. Obviously though if your having issues when its cold out shifting or anything strange, change it.
