So I drove my car down to mcdonalds today and turned it off, when i got back in i felt a slight rumble to the car, as i released the clutch and gave it gas the car began to shake violently. Once i got home and parked and checked it out smoke was coming from right above my right wheel and also from the engine, it's a burnt rubber smell almost...

I checked oil and coolent and both are fine.

any ideas?

burned clutch almost smells like burned rubber. or sticky brake callipers maybe? scan for codes.

 

One of my buddies came and took a look at it, claims i am running 3 cylinders and need a new coilpack

 

was your CEL flashing?

 

Yeah it was flashing

 

Yep, that would most likely be it..Flashing CEL means 'bad misfire please dont drive me'
