I have been on working on clearing the code on my 97 A4 1.8T, 100,000 miles. I replaced the MAFS, checked the vacuum all the lines look good to me. After replacing mafs I reset the code , drove it some, and now the OBD II reader says P1136 pending. What else can I change or do?

 

P1136 is long term fuel trim, so it should tell you if it's running lean or rich. The fix will depend on which problem you're having.

 

It says system to lean.

 

I am assuming the 02 sensor is reporting Lean because you have some type of leak. If it was reporting rich then that would mean there is too much unburned fuel in the exhaust flow.
