Default Check engine load signal

ok so i got vag com and it came up with p1857, load signal: error message from ECU. Could this be as easy as a mass air flow sensor? Has anyone had the same code come up in there car?

but the car rides like **** when i take off fast, its a tiptronic, seems like no boost. I have had a boost leak test, the turbo takin out to see if a bad turbo, any suggestions or is there any way it could be the mass air flow sensor
