Default Check it out!

Hey I bought this audi a4 1996 for 1200.
The only thing wrong with it is that it has an oil leak in the upper pan, and
180k miles on it. I know high right. well this is whats been done to it so far.

Starter- January 2010
Front Brake Lines- January 2010
Front Tie Rod ends- January 2010
Power Steering Pump- June 2010
Alternator- July 2008
Entire front end steering components (upper and lower control arms, tie rod ends)-June 2007
H&R Suspension kit with 1.75" of drop - June 2007
H&R springs- June 2007
H&R anti-sway bar- June 2007
Replacement Clutch- June 2007
Thermostat- June 2007
Water Pump- January 2007
Timing Belt January-2007
Windows Tinted (Back windshield and back windows have 10% light transmission, front windows are 70% light transmission)- January 2006

I drove it all the way home an hour away as my father followed behind he said it smoked, so i figure the oils running from the upper pan on to the exhaust right. Its a decent oil leak not too bad but its not some thing I can just let go ya know I gotta fix it before it becomes worse. I have some pictures for you all and you can tell me if it was a good deal or not. I personally think I couldn't have gotten a better deal for such a nice car.

Don't let these pictures fool you, it looks allot better in real life.

For 1200$ I'd say that was a steal! Congrats on the new car and be prepared to become a mechanic :P

Yeah thanks shes all wheel drive, 5 speed. I have 900 to start working on here little by little. My first plan is to fix the oil leak, I have the gasket to do it and a garage I'm renting for only 25 a month from my landlord . While I'm fixing the leak with my dad I'll be ordering a new hood, new head lights New front bumper/side skirts Ill just put a lip kit on the back bumper. Then after that stuff is done and the Body pieces are painted and mounted back on too the car, It will be time for ether Rims or to redo my interior.
Leave me suggestions and recommendations, much appreciation.

Euro trunk!! Nice find for 1200. I'm always hearing about non-enthusiasts picking up older cars for at least twice or triple that price, mind you they're not driving an Audi either...

Not too bad... I would spend about 2 hours cleaning and conditioning those seats , and you might as well patch up that drivers seat with duct tape. I'd personaly ditch that steering wheel cover- no matter what it looks like underneath but thats just me. Maybe try to clean up that passanger side airbag stuffing... It definitely does not look like it's awd... There is no quattro badge on the inside trim-and no idication that there was one there before... I also am pretty sure that there would be a recessed spot on the dash trim for that quattro badge to sit in. There is no quattro badge on the front grill, and you can see where the rear 2.8 badge was removed- there is no evidence of the rectangle quattro badge right underneath it like there should have been.

I had already ditched the steering wheel cover. I just last night started shampooing the carpets. I realize the carpeting is really dirty so is the cloth on the sealing of the car so it will need replaced. I'm new to Audis so most of those badges and titles its missing I didn't even know where there, I can assure you its awd though. That's all I have to say.
