Default Cleaning the intake manifold

well, the previous owner of my car really neglected the engine bay so ive been trying to clean it up lately. My intake manifold looks all dirty and ugly, (sort of like in this picture below) and im having a hard time cleaning it. What can i do to make my intake look relatively new again? Thanks.

lots of degreaser, steam cleaner followed by pressure wash... if u have access to a hight temp pressure washer then that would be best after u let degreaer sit for an hour

I might end up just taking it off and polishing it, i think it would match nicely with my engine bay. Thanks for the replies.
