clear corners-DIY

Default clear corners-DIY

I wanna do the clear corners, i read the diy, i was wondering if any of you has plans on doing that, if you can please take some pics, do a quick write down step by step, i know ppl is gonna say that its extremely easy but i will help a lot, thanks

well you just drill through the black part on the back of the housing. get the top tab and the bottom tab until you can slide the amber part towards the low beam and high beam section of the housing. then you just jiggle the amber part a bit so you can cut it out piece by piece through the corner bulb hole. i never took any pix though because it was that simple.

one thing to keep in mind is don't force the clear part out of it's position. it'll slide out pretty easily when you have the tabs drilled enough. and take your time with it.

Yep - go easy with the drill. We had a tense moment with it when it almost went too far and ventilated the outer lens. Once the amber is free, use needlenose pliers to grab it through the bulb hole and shatter it, so you can pull or shake the pieces out.

Some guys on AZ said they used a soldering iron to just melt it. That way you don't get such a big hole and don't have the shavings anywhere.

if you melt it though, wont you run the risk of melting other stuff? soldering irons get pretty hot, idk might warp it or something who knows just throwing that out there, never tried it
