Clearance issues with 19" wheels?
I recently picked up a set of 19x8.5 ASA wheels. Am I going to run into clearance issues with these? I'm on a stock S4 suspension but will likely be changing to coilovers soon.
It would depend on the offset and also the tires.
I ran a set of 19's before and since it was 10's with low offsets in the rear, I had to run negative camber.
if you're running normal/common offsets and width, you should be fine.

im sure you will have turning issue's with how far you can turn it and not rub the inside of the fender and the car will prob ride like **** but it will work i have seen plenty of people on here running the 18's and 19's they say the 17's are the best size for our b5's
The widest tire you can stuff on B5 without body modifications is 235mm, usually on an 8" wide wheel. 19" require some seriously small sidewalls, which kill your ride quality, but seeing as you're going ofr coil-overs, you're probably not worried.
To correctly fit 19x8.5, you're going to need wheel spacers to prevent rubbing the struts on the insides of the wheels (this depends on the offset, of course). Once you make room for that, you'll need to roll the fenders to allow room for the outside of the wheels.
Once you lower it, there is no way to prevent rubbing the front fenders at lock with wheels that large. If you're putting 19"s on, you're going all Show, and no Go (well, at least no practical go!). It's a good idea to consider some body work if you want to lay low with wheels that large.
It can be done, but just realize this will no longer be your daily driver. You'll accelerate and brake slower and handle worse, as well as destroy your passenger's kidneys. The wheels are heavy and you're adding some serious unsprung weight and the tires are so hard, you'll have no tire patch during hard cornering and no bump absorbtion (read: poor handling and bad ride quality).
But it's definitely baller if done correctly.
See the thread below, these guys should know how to help:

Exactly. To Baller, or not to Baller.
I would have to agree with Tweaked. If you really want to run 19's, it's strictly for look.
I ran a set of staggered 19's on mine. 19X8.5 fronts and 19X10 rears with decently low offsets and stretched tires. I had to get adjustable arms so I could actually run negative cambers everywhere.
It was an okay look for a while but I wasn't really digging it hence why I switched to the 18's.
BTW - I have my 19's for sale. Local preferably!
