Default Code p1136 for a year now

Bank 1 long term fuel trim add.

The engine runs solid however I only get about 3 lb boost. Fires on first tryand never dies. Always. It's a 2000 1.8T Quattro ATW.

1) I have installed a boost gauge and it reads 15 inMg. There is a rip on an L shape hose going from the intake manifold to the U shape brake booster line that then crosses the firewall. If I cover this up, my gauge goes to 19-20 inMg.

What is this hose called? I'll be back to post a picture soon.

2) I just cleaned the Maf and Reinstalled. I hear varying advice as to whether or not Maf can cause p1136.

3) My SAI has an Audible leak and I can feel it. Can't tell if it's the pump housing or the connection on flex pipe.

Would SAI ever throw a p1136?
I really don't want to pay $50 for a hose if the leak is insignificant or in the housing of the pump.

If a cold start and SAI is on, I'm reading about 13inMg until it turns off and then I get 19inMg.

4)My next move is the fuel pressure. What would be my first step in investigating the fuel system for problems causing a p1136?

Thank you for reading this.

I just took the car for a spin after reinstalling Maf.

I don't know what I messed with but when I did a sufficient pull in 2nd gear I got 6lb boost for about 4 seconds but then it fell to 3-4lb and held.

I can hear a boost leak after it spools.

i don't think this is my p1136 problem though Which is what I'm concerned about because it's been a year since I could register the car and I still need to.

That brake booster hose with the year in it is a massive vacuum leak. That's killing your boost and your LTFT value. Replace it and clear your codes. Normal engine vacuum at idle is -18 to -22 mmHg. Higher than that (which your gauge is showing you) indicates a vacuum leak, and you definitely have that. Get a new brake booster hose.

Thanks. Got it out and here it is.
Will Pep Boys be able to read readiness monitors such as SAI? Or only codes? Do I need a Vag Com for that?

Almost any code scanner will read readiness monitors. Once you fix the issue and clear the codes, it'll take a couple of cold starts for your SAI monitor to green-light. Auto parts stores aren't allowed to clear codes though. I bought a cheap scanner at harbor freight for under $40 that reads and clears codes, reads readiness monitors, freeze-frame sensor data, etc. I would grab one and just keep it in your car for things like this.

I'm going to for sure.
I ordered a new reinforced hose and sealed the torn one up for a temp fix. It's holding at about 7psi now. feels much better

Thanks for the help.
