Default Codes please help! Cel

just scanned for codes, this is what i got: p0401, p0170, p0173.

threw a CEL like 10 days ago. havent really been driving it but yesterday when i took it to the gym it got a lot hotter than usual. coolant temp light went on as i was getting home. any ideas? i did the timing belt, water pump, thermostat, etc. last summer so i dont think its that. doesnt drive differently at all. replaced the motor mounts last saturday and i think the CEL came on just before that, not after. any help would be appreciated thanks guys

P0401 - Exhaust Gas Recirc.Flow Insufficient Detected
P0170 - Fuel Trim,Bank1 Malfunction
P0173 - Fuel Trim,Bank2 Malfunction

P0401 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Insufficient Detected
Possible Symptoms

* Drivebility problems (check dtc's with Knock Sensor)
* Irregular behaviour

Possible Causes

* EGR valve stuck closed
* EGR valve leaks vacuum
* EGR flow restricted
* Circuit EGR short to B+
* EGR damaged
* Circuit DPF EGR sensor (differential pressure) disconnected, short to B+ or Ground
* DPF EGR sensor downstream hose off or plugded
* DPF EGR sensor damaged, wrong attached
* Control Module damaged

Possible Solutions

* Check all wiring and connections to and from EGR and DPF-EGR
* Check the EGR: use a vacuumpump and pull open the EGR: rpm should change
* Clean the EGR
* Check / Replace EGR
* Check / Replace DPF-EGR

Special Notes

* The EGR system is monitored when driving at steady state and the EGR is commanded on. When the DPF-EGR sensor indicates that EGR flow is less then a desired minimum a dtc is set.
* N.B. mechanics with less knowledge do exchange the EGR often, but 75% sure the problem will be back (probably the DPF-EGR sensor causes the problem).

I can't find the other two codes (P0170 and P0173 on the Ross-Tech website to get what it might be... but it could be O2 sensors, MAF, or something else...

sweet, thanks josh.

anyone ever replace the egr valve? ill give it a shot but some tips would def. help a brother out.

do you think this could also cause the coolant temp. sensor to give a bad reading (way too hot)? im doing a coolant flush first thing in the morning cause my coolants pretty old and i got a brand new bottle in my garage

You could try the CTS. It's not expensive and when it goes it does cause weird problems.
