cold air intake 2.8l...K&N

Default cold air intake 2.8l...K&N


Can anybody suggest how good are these. Will i need any other attachments along with this.

went through the forum and found out that these need a heat shield but nothing specific on the heat shields and specifications...any ideas....

you don't always need a heat shield, as long as you're far enough away from the engine you'll be fine. It's recommended you have one, but it's not always necessary.

dont waste your money on this

find one on ebay by chrome intakes

you can find them for like 60 bucks shipped

the stock airboxes on our cars are really good so a intake doesnt do much but make a real nice sound
the k and n is essentially the same thing yet is a lot more money

are you claiming the 2.8 is fast, lol... now im an owner of a 2.8 and theyre "peppy" at best. But they dont really pass much

Uhh what year is this Audi? you wont be having no cold air lol i would like to see you put that thing on the bottom and see it get cold air :P and listen to "washyourhangs" hes right about the one on ebay, I baught a K&N and it was a waste of my 170$ the only good thing that came out of it was the intake holder that came with the K&N intake so my intake dosent hit my cylinder head every once and a while :P

And i agree, the 2.8 isent that fast stock but their faster then the 1.8Ts stock :P
