Keep an eye out for a used Carbonio intake. I was able to score one for $160 in almost new condition off AZ.

 

Or just don't buy a Carbonio intake since it's not going to do anything with forced induction anyway.

I have the same setup, in the process of making a better heat shield but I love the sounds from the cone

 

build your own intake or get carbonio if you want the looks and slight and very slight sound difference and when i say sound difference, i mean like my carbonio just makes it sound like my car is taking a deep breath when i floor it. kinda funny. but doesnt sound bad!

Air box mod FTW!!

 

im gonna cheesebox mine pretty soon but from my understanding that the colder air with the 1.8ts are pointless since once the cool air hits the turbo its hot all this coil air intake is just for noise and maby 3-5hp

 

yea it's a great mod for a few bucks, you can hear the DV and it growls when you accelerate!! It's awesome love the mod make sure you do it right otherwise you can f^ck up your stuff.

 

I just started stabbing my intake box with knife last night... I plan on returning tomorrow to drill those into holes
