Should I spend like the extra $40 for the S4 upgrade one? I have a 99.5 Audi A4 1.8T, both are compatible with my car.. I'm looking for something cheap and good that will last me around 60k miles at least.. I haven't heard anything bad about Groton, anyone have either of these kits installed on their cars? Gimme some feedback I'm looking to spend no more then $350-400 on a kit.

 

if you search a little, you'll see that most people will recommend that you go with meyle or febi or another reputable brand, but there are a few using the FCP Groton kit who say that it has held up just fine.

i actually have their S4 upgrade kit and started the install (well, teardown) yesterday and should be done installing sometime today or tomorrow. out of the box it looks like its a really solid kit, but i dont have enough experience with these cars to estimate how long it should last. 99.99999% of the time you get what you pay for. in this case i took a gamble cause 1) its only $200 and 2) if i have to redo them in 2 years with name brand parts, i dont really mind doing the work again because i enjoy it

just so you know, BOTH of those kits that you are looking at can be had for ~$200 through FCPGroton on ebay. thats where i got mine, the S4 upgraded version was the same price so it didnt really make sense not to.

they only have 1 s4 kit listed at that price at a time. this one is being bid on by a couple people so it may go up. i wasnt in a hurry so i waited until there was one where no one was bidding on lol
