Default Coolant tank issues

Hey guys I need some help asap. While driving today my temp gauge started to raise I was upset becuase I just got the water pump, thermostat and coolant temp sensor replaced. Them once I stopped and poped the hood I noticed that the coolant tank was dripping from the bottom. I took the tank out and noticed that there was a nub where there should be a hose connected to. There was no hose and none in sight so question is: should there be a hose connect to the bottom of the coolant tank under the cap and and if so where does it connect to? Any help will be so helpful.

There shouldn't be a hose there. Is your engine actually overheating or the gauge is just reading false again

i don't know but the car lost a lot of antifreeze out of that little nub. i thought there was a hose but anyways why would my car be doing this? when it over heated the first time before i got it fixed there was no leak on the bottom of the tank. that is what is confusing me.

That's there to alleviate pressure if you overheat. So it sounds like you overheated to me. If you look inside the tank you'll see that its not in the same compartment as where the coolant is. Maybe they installed a faulty thermo. I always test them in boiling water before installing. I'd bring it back to the shop that did the work. They prolly made a mistake or mis-diagnosed your problem.
