Was wondering if anyone has a DIY for a coolant temp sensor replacement. Thanks!

Good luck, it took me almost an hour to do that because I couldn't fit my **** hooks between the firewall and valve cover lol

 

That was a MAJOR pain in the ***.... I broke the stupid U clip, and now i have to wait until tomorrow to get another one because the store closed -.-

Does the new sensor just kinda sit in place, or does it pop back in? also was it hard to put the U clip back on?

 

Not bad, just make sure you get the old o-ring out if it doesn't come out with the old sensor. as long as it is seated well, the clip just slips back in

 

Yeah the sensor doesn't click or anything, you gotta just sorta jam it in there. You'll know damn well if its not in there right because it'll shoot coolant all over the place

 

Sooo... I didn't realize the old o ring was still in the spot, and ended up breaking the U clip

 

you broke another one? lol

 

I only broke one U clip lol
