Default Crazy engine break?!

So while driving roughly 70mph there is a spot if I let off the pedal to much I get an insane amount of engine break. It's almost like someone is jamming on the brakes. It's not all the time has happen about one or twice a day but when it does do it I have a hard time making it go away, I usually have to go faster. What would cause it to ask like this?

Just a shot in the dark, but maybe is has something to do with a brake booster?

Don't worry about it, you're selling your car anyway .

All kidding aside, I'm not sure. I would like to know why your car is up for sale though!

so when you let off the gas the car slows down alot faster than normal? recent brake job? maybe the brakes are applying some unnesessary pressure?

auto trany? not gearing correctly??

i think i got it.... how about the IACV.... could cause vacuum reading to be wack!

No recent brake job, 1.8TQM. It's so aggressive a passenger can feel the car shake! I'm at a loss for what it would be. I don't think it has anything to do with the brakes, kinda think of when you downshift to brake and you shift to soon and the car kinda jerks and brakes real fast, it's kinda like that.

Easy check would be to pull off a wheel and wiggle the rotors. They can shift and drag a bit. Just to rule out brakes.

What happens if you press in the clutch when it's happening?
