Default cylinder 2 misfire problem?

whats up guys, im having trouble with my 97 audi a4 quattro, i went to autozone and they told me that i have a cylinder 2 misfire, they said to replace the spark plugs and if that doesnt fix the problem to replace the coil pack, i did both and im still having the problem, the engine light is on, and the car is shaking alot, the engine is too loud, before this problem i could barely hear the engine...
thanks in advance guys

Please dont listen to autozone hippies...
You should have first swapped the coil pack from the cyl that is missing to a different cyl to see if the miss follows the coil pack. Since that didn't work, and spark plugs are ok, it's gotta be your ICM/ignition amplifier. It's located on top of the airbox. Very common to get a cyl 2 miss when that goes bad, and they DO go bad. The ICM controls your firing order, unlike with newer 2000+ cars the firing order is controlled by the ECU which eliminates the ICM. I think you can find one on ebay for real cheap compared to the dealer or even autozone.
