I have fought this code and mine keeps coming and going. The trick I have seen that works for lots of other people on the forum is to check all the little vacuum lines and change them to make sure you don't have an air leak. The secondary air pump runs when the car is started from a cold start, I think it is for emissions.

it is only for emissions, its useless. i wouldnt even worry about that code if i were you. im sure a bad 02 sensor could cause that code too

I think if there was a bad O2 sensor that there would be more than one code.

but wouldnt you think that if his SAI wasnt working hed have more than one code anyway? SAI is to counteract the rich period during a cold start. the 02 sensors SHOULD throw codes that its running rich, IF the SAI isnt working.

See if there are debris in the screen before your airbox. Thats what caused mine, and it was random as well

I cleaned my MAF like 2 weekend's ago and did my air box mod and there was no debris so i will try to replace all my vacuum hoses does any one kno where i can buy some at like a local place that i can pick up on my way home?? Becuase really the only time that i have to do any car work is during the weekend due to school and work.

Take out your secondary air system. you don't need it anyway.
