I've never come across that before. Did you buy them from ECS? Maybe they'll reduce the price of the harnesses if you complain to the right person there

A split in 2000? There was a split in 1999. 1999 and 1999.5.

the facelift was in 1999.5 but according to them audi changed their harnesses in 2000 again.
idk sounds like BS to me im still waiting for them to call back so i can tell them i want the right parts for my car.
on the website it says they will fit any facelift.. any model... any engine, some modification needed for pre- 1999.5...
well mine is a 2000!! a**holes

If I were you I would try to return everything and buy DEPOs from eBay. A lot of B5 owners buy from there, including myself, and are happy with them. ~$200 to $250

Uses a D shaped connector
96-99.5 A4's will need wiring harness modifications & minor fender trimming. See part # A4EUROWIRINGKIT for our ECS wiring harness
Want a clean one piece look headlight for your A4? These Depo headlights feature an H7 low beam projector, and have a clean chrome housing.

********Featuring H7 high & low beams******

copied from ecs
non xeon cars - h7
xeon cars - (2000-2002) - D2S

i believe thats right
