I have a 99.5 facelift, which originally came with a concert HU and did not have a cd changer. I wanted to install the blitzsafe aux adapter that goes in place of the cd changer cable. So I was wondering if I would still have the cable in the trunk for the CD Changer even though my car didn't come with one from factory? I've already looked through the side panel where it's supposed to be and didn't see anything there. I haven't yet taken the whole carpeting off to really look deep in there to see if it's just very well hidden because it's kind of a PITA. So I was hoping someone knew to save me that trouble, thanks in advance

PS: I know they have the blitzsafe adapter that installs directly on the HU, but I can get the above mentioned one for dirt cheap so that's why i'm asking about that one.

 

If you had the changer wiring it would be pretty obvious since it would be just hanging there in the jack space in the trunk. I don't have a changer but the wiring is def there and noticable.

 

Yeah that's why I'm confused because I've seen pictures of people's cars and it's pretty much right there in front of your eyes usuallly rapped in some foam protector. But I don't see it in mine.

When I bought the car the person who previously had it installed an aftermarket radio, so idk if they might have hidden it from site or something. That's why I want to check if it's supposed to have one from factory or not.

So your car did not come with a CD changer from factory then?

 

I don't have a changer but my 99.5 is definitely wired for it.

 

Alright cool, i guess I'll just have to pull the carpeting and dig deeper then. I hope the previous owner wasn't a retard and cut it off.
