Default A different Steering problem...

I thought that my pump was bad but i think its just from the cold, both days its done it at different times, and randomly, but both times it was pretty cold, and after driving it warmed up and was fine. But now today when i was bcking into my house, i realized that when i turn the wheel when just coasting on gear in reverse, that the revs drop when ever i turn the wheel from straight. They drop to about 600 then back up to 900 if i stop turning. Could this be applying more stress on the pump causing the engine to drop its revs? Whats up? Thanks.

Perhaps check what color your fluid is - it should be a green, thin fluid. You might have a thick fluid in there that's making the pump work too hard.

did you replace the fluid, like i said it wears out over time and you need to replenish the mineral additive crap in it. i had the same issues and it turned into a steering rack issue.
