Default Dipity Stickity

Sup everyone. My dipstick broke today as my dumb a$$ accidently twisted the hook instead of pulling up. Thanks to searching, I know I can get it cheap ($13 at dealer, wtf?!) The thing that worries me is the plastic orange portion at the bottom of the hook handle. If you look at the pic, you'll notice that about half of the bottom portion is snapped off. I'm thinking when I did the twist, it might have broken the piece off and fell into the metal tube it slides into. If so, is this gonna cause me any problem, having a small piece of plastic floating or bouncing around in the oil? If so, do you think an oil change would help for it to fall out? Thanks.

Moose

an oil change might help, but the oil pan has all sorts of twist and turns so there is a good chance it will get stuck. I say change the oil, it's only going to cost you $50...

cool, thanks, I took the car out for a spin and nothing seemed effective. If anything, I'm hoping that the plastic will deteriate from the heat of the oil.
