Looks like you might be right. do you know if they will fit the b5?

they should, I personally think they're a great looking set of wheels

I agree. i hope to eventually get ahold of a set, get the car painted in some kind of black, and match the audi rings with the titanium rims.

i dont know **** about wheels either, but i do know that is the offset measure. 45 is stock, so its best to stick close to that or you'll have to run spacers, or pull fenders depending on the offset. im pretty sure the 45 number has something to do with how far the wheel is away from the hub. please correct me if i am wrong and lead me to a site that describes these wheel terms. im embarrassed i dont know anything about wheels

Pretty much got it. Offset is a measure of the distance between the centerline of the wheel and the surface where the the wheel mounts to the hub. This might help:



Interestingly, while looking for that picture I discovered that the term "ET" in reference to wheel offset comes from the German prefix "ET", meaning "Einpresstiefe" or, literally, "press depth". Now you know, and...

pretty much correct. Theres a safe range of offsets you can run without needing spacers or stretching. I know i run like ET35? maybe 30 but its just a measurement of hub distance away from the center of the wheel.
