well i do know if the et of the wheel is 35, you just add 10mm spacers to make it et45. unfortuantely, you cant reall subtract 10mm from a et55. (i really hope im right about this to)

Also correct, though I have heard about people having the inner wheel faces machined down to reduce effective offset. I personally think this is a ******* horrible idea, but people do it becausestancebro.

thanks for all the info. I'll have to find out what the offset for stock 01 a4 rims are and see how close they are to the B7 ti wheels.

IIRC the offset on my wheels is 43.

Isn't this backwards? I thought if you had an et45 wheel and added a 10mm spacer it would then be et35.

You may need a spacer to run those since they are likely an inch wider than the stock wheels.

You're correct, Redline and chris you guys were almost right but had it backwards.

For example my flat fives are et45 stock, but I have a 20mm spacer in the rear making it et25 and a 15mm spacer in the front making it et30.

hope that clears it up

You're my flat five sedan buddy! Mine aren't as spaced as yours though, 15mm in back 10mm in front
