i am putting a new engine in my a4 1.8t and it is just another 1.8t and same engine code AEB but i have no idea if this part off my original engine is broken. the part i have been trying to post pictures of is a rubber vacuum looking thing with a long metal rod coming out the top and i believe has something to do with the cruise control because it attaches to the throttle and is not the throttle cable and is mounted off to the left down below the throttle i am trying to post pics but keeps coming up failed so please bare with me here.

 

yeah we're not gonna be able to help much w/o pics. What leads you to believe that its broken? Is there another one on the new motor that you can compare it to?
