Default Door lock question

Hey guys, I searched for this on a couple of forums but couldnt really come to a conclusion as to what the problem may be.
I figured I'd ask and hopefully wont get bashed for re-posting something that I may of overlooked

Ok, here is the scoup:

At times when I unlock my car with my FOB, the drivers door works fine. Push it twice all doors open, trunk, gas cap.
Now, if I were to lock the car with the FOB the doors would lock with the exception of the drivers door. 2 times out of 10 it'll lock. So instead I use the key to lock the door with out a problem.

Passenger door
Sometimes even if the lock thing on the door is up and you try to open the door, it wont open. You have to lock and unlock the doors and then it works.

I hear it could be the vaccum pump? or a vaccum pump?

Default RE: Question on Door Lock pump functionality

You could check the central locking module for error codes to see if you have a leak but that might not tell the whole story. Use VAG COM. You know the driver door will not lock on these cars unless it is closed, right?

Leak or stiff mechanism?

Take the door panel off and check the locks and door mechs for free movement. See if anything is bent or if the cables are not free. It might just need some lube.

For leak troubleshooting, check all of the hoses and connections at the actuators and module. Start with the module - its in the trunk, right side under the lining. The pump inside is fragile - don't pixx it off - handle with care.

Write up on the door panel here https://www.audiforums.com/m_64789/tm.htm and lock module stuff at Audidiy.com.
